Don't love the term... But it's AI slop to increase user engagement.

Great example of corridor zoning is Yonge St looking north from Highway 401.

Massive buildings lining the street, and just one street over on both sides is a sea of single family detached homes.

Looking forward to it!

A popular YouTuber had a video about the loss of boredom a few years ago.
Really opened my eyes to what we lose out on when we're not allowing ourselves to become bored anymore.

I suppose don't necessarily enjoy 'using' it because it just operates in the background. But I do enjoy knowing that when I turn on my taps, the water coming out was heated by pretty cool advanced technology.

I honestly thought this was just airplane food. Now it's my go-to airplane food,so I'm glad to see that I can actually buy it!

So she got her visa revoked when she tried to enter into LA, then she went down to Mexico to try to get in at the Mexico border instead. Seems like what she was doing was a little shady.

It's an interesting idea, and shows how vastly different those regions of Ontario really are. But it'll never happen. I really can't see any splitting of our provinces in my lifetime.

Some of it has to do with decreasing light output. Anything you put infront of a light source will reduce its output.

Light efficiency (lumen per Watt) and output is important when deciding what light to specify. Especially when deciding between a historically highly efficient HPS vs LED.

Glare is the technical term for what you're talking about in this post.

LED streetlight manufacturers have mostly switched from one or two large COB LEDs which cause lots of glare, to dozens of LEDs which reduce the perception of glare.

Absolutely. It likely just has something to do with the high winds, and a bad decision being made while the plane was landing. Who knows, there may have even been a mechanical failure!

That's what I've been saying! It's Canadian air traffic controllers.. Not Americans. None of this has anything to do with the changes to American air traffic controllers and the American FAA.
February 17, 2025 at 9:47 PM
But the air traffic controllers were in Toronto, Canada, with Canadian hiring practices.
So thinking it had something to do with what's going on in the US doesn't make sense.

Bring a touque. And some Kleenex (for the inevitable cold temperature sniffles). It gets chilly in there!

No kidding. Or just mount it on the existing wooden poles they use to hold up the power lines and street lights. Can't be that difficult to mount it up there and still take pictures.
