I have a buddy from Akron that's a die hard Browns fan. Usually all we do is shit talk each other's teams. Last week he paused and said "you should get Stefanski he really is a good coach. Our front office are morons." I'm going to take his word until proven otherwise.

I'm not plugged in but I can't imagine any of the AD talk is real. I'm guessing it's driven by his agent and media.

No Ja and no AD in Atlanta please. Let's do this right with a promising young group around Jalen and a few solid vets. Go big game hunting later.

A lot of lottery teams want to remain lottery teams. Trae will make you better and he's the wrong timeline for teams that have super young cores. Not sure why Wizards are hitting the gas unless they just think they can't or won't find a better facilitator of offense this summer.

Like it or not, not paying Trae next year is the return. I haven't heard anyone say there was anything close to a robust trade market for him. Love Trae but it obviously wasn't going to work out. Excited for this semi rebuild around Johnson. Lots of fun young players and the potential Pels pick.

It's all about flexibility. Trae had a player option next year they didn't want to pay. Pivoting to building around Jalen Johnson. I'm a Hawks fan but I hope he crushes it in DC. No ill will. It's just a bad fit for his salary.

I'm excited to have a football mind in the position but really worried about rumors he wants to still do CBS. Stepping into a new position with little experience seems difficult especially if you have another full time job.

He's not a great CEO. Just too much inconsistency all year. Costly penalties, poor effort, execution or design. Felt sloppy his entire tenure. He'd be a great DC pickup for someone though.

The issue is the season is too long / has too many games. If games were high stakes people would not sit out. When you ask players to go hard for 80+ games AND some of those are B2B, just be happy anyone plays them.

In all honesty, do we know why Risacher doesn't play more? Right or wrong, the coaches are making the decision based on something they've seen. I too do not want to see AD if it means Risacher leaves. But with this coaching staff will Risacher ever get enough minutes?
December 29, 2025 at 6:04 PM
Trae by himself used to be able to keep the offense afloat. I'm confused why with better pieces around him, the offense struggles.
December 27, 2025 at 3:30 PM
What did Risacher do to the refs? Second phantom call of the week against him.
December 27, 2025 at 1:19 AM
Do the Hawks now need to pick a direction: Try to win now or let it ride and hope that Pels pick is part of the Jalen, Dyson, Risacher rebuild?

Are we at cursed status yet?

Was really hoping KP would be the assassin off the bench this year with OO making a leap at the end of last year. Now I'm hoping he can just give us anything the rest of the way.
December 19, 2025 at 9:12 PM
Likely that he said something that should've been said and no one wanted to hear it.
December 3, 2025 at 5:59 PM
Kakaaaw! Let's go Hawks.
November 14, 2025 at 6:10 PM
Based on where the Mavs are, thank goodness defense wins championships.
November 7, 2025 at 5:42 PM
And that's without Trae!

Came here to say the same thing about the Magic and Hawks. It's early but both franchises may be at serious cross roads soon if they don't figure it out.

Biden and Obama both expanded ICE. It's just a fact that our politicians haven't had our best interest in mind for years if not ever. The current fascist regime is just taking everything to the extreme and saying the quiet part out loud.

1) Roster. I was initially down on the change at GM but Saleh has assembled a much better roster.

2) Injuries. Early season injuries could hamper building chemistry for a playoff run.

To my untrained eye it appears Penix is throwing after someone is open rather than leading receivers open. Typical young QB.

As an Atlanta sports fan, I assumed the worst from the tip. Still, why can't we have nice things?

What's the equivalent of tanking for cfb because we need a complete from the ground up rebuild.
