Construction in Springfield is moving forward! Since we celebrated the groundbreaking in Monterey County in May, construction for the main line is complete on three roads. This milestone means we are one step closer to getting homes connected to clean drinking water by the fall of 2026.

SB 840 has passed out of the Assembly Natural Resources Committee. This bill will protect safe drinking water investments through 2045 by extending the current continuous appropriation of up to $130 million for the #SAFER Fund. Thank you to Senator Monique Limón for protecting SAFER!

And you know the water these ag workers have access to is contaminated b/c of high nitrates and other forms of pollution due to farming.
US agriculture is an extractive system in multiple ways, and now the administration is deliberately worsening conditions for the most vulnerable among us.
