Understory kelp forests ring much of the Salish Sea shoreline. Large schools of *tiny* baby fish including herring swim along them. Precautionary principles preserve robust multi-age fish stocks so these young fish know where to go. AkA 'Go with the old fish'. www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Another quiet and beautiful morning in the Elwha nearshore. T Chinook, coho and the long awaited star of the nearshore, *chum* salmon. The beaver are back too-look for their 'chew' marks and keep those dogs on leash (or even better, at home!). kuula.co/share/hqdrl?....
Keep going.

Was that an earthquake just now? Lord.
Keep going.

After 15 years CWI is on the move-you can find us now in suite 308. We've not had a window in our office since we moved in (back in 2010!). Making up for that now! To EM Real Estate and the Wharf crew for the easy transition. Back to field-herring weather is here!
