The primary will be a bare knuckles fight, but I don't think there is much apetite for war within the party. China conflict is likely to lead to another major supply chain crisis along with inflation and related issues that plagued Biden.

2032 will be about the traditional "are you better off than 4 years ago?". Gender derangement might be relevant then, but a lot depends on who gets the nod from the other side.

There will be derangement, but I don't think it really matters. 2028 will ultimately be a referendum on the incumbents, just like 2008 was a referendum on Bush, not the black guy with a funny name.

Don't think she will be in the senate race, but the recent mayoral election is a pretty clear indication of what would happen if she did, in the current environment.

Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996 became the first dem since FDR to win back to back, so that made him the template for everyone going forward.

The GOP won 5 of 6 starting in 1968, mostly by landslide margins in the EC. They won 49/50 twice (1972 and 1984), so there was def an entire generation of boomer dems who experienced considerable electoral trauma.
