Each time I have needed PT, UHC has renegotiated the claim to fewer treatments. Perhaps, the price hike is from dealing with inefficiency in the system? I assume I'm right. There's no evidence to the contrary.

In the same boat? Call UHC and push them to figure it out.

"98% for claims for eligible members, when submitted in a timely manner with complete information"

This sentence is oddly qualified... my guess is the real number is lower.

"At UnitedHealthcare, we approve and pay 90% of claims shortly after they’re submitted. The remaining 10% go through an additional review process."

Which 10% though and how much does that coverage cost in comparison to the other 90%? I'm guessing it's not randomly distributed.

"Approximately $33 million of the more than $41 million in price hikes SSM Health is seeking for our commercial plans would come out of the budgets of self-funded employers"

Nowhere do they present evidence for this, nor do they engage with why the price is going up.

I get that! I bought a page-turner a while back that worked well for the Kindle, but the Kobo's form factor is different enough that the turner gizmo is finicky too.

Thanks for letting me know how it went.

I was thinking of doing this for my partner too. Was there a reason why it didn't gel with your partner?

Great article and a shame that 8bitdo and Anki did not respond!

I remember having to use the 'iClicker' in college, it would have been way better if we could of all brought one of these instead of generating a bunch of e-trash.

Also made me think about this video:

Adding to the music throughline, I couldn't help but think about Nirvana's "In Bloom" lyrics.

"He's the one who likes all our pretty songs..."

There is always subtext, intentional or not.

In 2018 Reveal looked into the injuries at Tesla facilities. Combined with customer experimentation with autopilot. It is hard to feel sorry for anyone buying these cars after this reporting.

Tesla says its factory is safer. But it left injuries off the books - Reveal
Undercounting injuries is a symptom of a larger problem: Tesla has put electric car manufacturing above safety concerns, former safety experts say.
