For decades the State of the Union Address has amounted to an “I’m Great” monologue. Partisan politics at its worst. Tonight’s will represent the most self-serving of a devolved tradition: misrepresentations, blaming of the innocent, pandering to ignorance, verbal abuse. Kudos to those who skip it.

The announcement of the Netflix remake of the “Little House”frontier stories fails to mention that much of what we believed about Laura Ingalls Wilder from the books was sculpted, sometimes made up, by Wilder’s secret collaborator, a founder of the Libertarian movement, Rose Wilder Lane.
