We are done with politician's incessant self-serving lies. We are done with hate. We are done with perverted fabrications masquerading as science. We are done with the demonisation of minorities; with stochastic terrorism in the press and social murder disguised as healthcare policy.

Thankyou thankyou thankyou SO MUCH to everyone who came along. You have made history! This was, second year running, the largest individual trans-specific protest march on Earth.

There is nothing shameful about being a trans woman. You have no reason to be embarrassed or offended by occasionally being mistaken for one - save the prejudices you supply yourself, and those held by your allies when they do it to you.

If it hurts your feelings to have that language used in error when mistaking you for a trans woman - which becomes increasingly likely over time due to the way everyone's bodies age - please consider what it is like for those you systematically do it to every single day.

Look for weird behaviours around challenges to authority ('I must always be the hero') alongside a reluctance to listen and respond to other trans people. Beware attempts to hold court or self-promote as a community leader especially from those who pop up out of nowhere.

Look for Main Character Syndrone names that present an account as if they are the only person to ever walk that path or "own" that identity.

It's so bleak isn't it?

There are soft tells for vulnerability to this kind of thing - beware anyone overly keen on self-aggrandising martyr narratives or who seems oddly threatened by the existence of other people with the same 'brand niche.'

I am firmly of the opinion that it is one of the most important films ever made (it's actually a remake of an older film, but the power of this version and the way it weaponises familiar faces like Tucci, Firth and Branagh and the whiplash they generate in the viewer is incredible)
