Hello, new internet void I'm giving a try. I write things, silly things pretty things, ugly things. This time, I wrote a poem.
Bittersweet. I've written a few happy poems, I've written a couple sad too, This one, I’m not sure what to call it, Bittersweet, maybe, but I’m not sure. This year and a half was momentous, I've lived and I've learned oh so much. This whole time with you was tremendous, So important I’d be hard to match. I learned to find stars in your gaze, To find in your moonlight my home. I’d sleep in your calming embrace, And wake to a love of my own. But then all that came to a close, A close I still find hard accepting, And something in me sort of froze, My heart, the same heart you had racing. I admit I felt lonely a while, As I saw you each day less and less, But then in my loneliness I Found a way for all this to process. Now I think back to all of those moments, And I think to those nights that we shared, And I wouldn’t change all of my love and I would never change all my despair. I've written a couple sad poems, But I've written a few happy too, This one, I now know what to call it, Bittersweet… it’s when I think of you.
