With this bike I discovered that I had total freedom.
This is what a bike gives you.

Vous avez suivi cette situation pendant longtemps, iirc.

I wave politely and nicely but firmly and I still wait to make sure "both" lanes of cars stop.

This is my favourite marked pedestrian crosswalk where the cars don't stop at but when I cross there you can be very certain that I make the mf'ers stop, oh yes I do.✋
It has recently been improved with flashing lights. And still the bastards won't stop unless the pedestrians force them to stop.

Si la piste cyclable est un stationnement gratuit de cinq minutes, alors Ensemble Montréal approuve.

Mornings are now BrrrrCold🥶 but overall weather not going to be too bad this weekend for bike riding.

No pedestrian is safe in Quebec assuming car drivers will stop at marked & posted pedestrian crossings.
Car drivers simply don't stop, and pedestrians learn early in life that life is more important than assuming car drivers stop for pedestrians.

Hunter lost in the forest survived for six days before being found by another hunter.
Tips
Always tell someone responsible where you're going & when you will return
-Always have a way to signal for help (a whistle, blow it 3 times)
-Are you ready to sleep outside without shelter?
-Stay in one place!

We first came here in 1978 (before it was a park) bc we took the phys-ed course Rock Climbing at Champlain Lennoxville Cegep. Unlike high school phys-ed class (basketball layups for five years) the cegep had an exceptional outdoor-sports program bc of instructors Mike Lawrence and Normand LaPierre.

My wife saw the Jane Goodall film "My Life Among The Wild Chimpanzees" at the American Association for the Advancement of Science symposium in Montreal in 1964.
She was a teen & she said this looks interesting & went down & registered & that's her Jane Goodall story.

Rides should never have a "meh" ending. The last part of the ride should be just as good as the best part of the ride, bc this is the feeling you will be left with when the ride ends and it's #BestPractice to have it be a happy feeling.

Important to always cultivate an "end-of-the-ride happy feeling".

When bored I'll take a couple of bike selfies and exactly one time ever was the time that I discovered when I got home and looked at the ride pictures that there was a rainbow behind me. #Surprise!

St-Julien❤️ is one of those hilltop villages you find here&there in Chaudière-Appalaches.
It's a 11 kilometre climb to get there &that's a good climb, but finally you catch sight of the church in the distance & soon it's the top and the climb is over.
Bonus: the ride down is A+

Time to change the tone and post some #BestDayOfTheYear ride pics.
The one time I ever got up to ride before sunrise turned out... pretty good!

And that was the only Outremont city hall monthly council meeting I ever attended in my life and also my Dennis Trudeau was an anti-bike-path crank story.
Hope he got over it, and maybe even used it himself.
