Based in the UK, getting old and now a very average road rider... even more average on an MTB.

But I still like cycling... and stats.
How funny that Brexit and or Trump 1 appears to have prompted more opposition to this bullshit and more alignment with the truth

Then pandemic and conspiracy theory increases ===> bugger.

And millions of bots

Please don't leave - there are more right wing a-holes south of the border and we need to drown them out with decent humans.

He's saying a repeated lack of an answer to such a question says everything you need to know very loudly indeed.
January 15, 2026 at 4:58 PM
Claude in my experience has been the worst at hallucinating (albeit can't comment if it does it for law)
January 13, 2026 at 10:27 PM
It's also misunderstanding the case law out relies on.

Basically, we're back to 2005 sat nav levels of giving responsibility, with people driving off cliffs because the sat nav says to
January 13, 2026 at 10:26 PM
You can reverse engineer the answers too and it's giving only what it thinks the person needs and would be the best answer if all the evidence existed and not the actual truth...

Not helpful.

So, I'm going through a tribunal and the respondent has relied on AI.

Because he's fed in limited docs rather than what he's known it has landed him in hot water making statements to the et3 and strikeout that he would have known were false.

Bad for lawyers. Terrible for lazy litigants in person.

This

I grew up in Northampton before leaving to go to Uni in London (in 1997). My parents were nervous but never felt as threatened in London as I did as an in Northampton coming out the clubs on a Friday night.

I'm busy being racist, working the whole day through
Trying to find immigrants left to screw
I'm busy being hateful, isn't it such a crime
I'd like to be in a monoculture but listing all the benefits I'd lose just doesn't rhyme.

What's more worrying is the coverage

Washington post not on front page. Has Epstein page, says justice dept will release a trove today.

Ny times very minor listing on the home page.

Both put this below the Kennedy centre being renamed.

What a petulant, pathetic prick this fragile shell of a man is.
December 17, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Who knew, trump could fall even lower in my opinion.
December 15, 2025 at 10:08 PM
Someone, Keith olberman?, has said much of what trump is doing is stochastic terrorism.

It's obvious in many places.

Even this has it, albeit more subtly. He's been killed because he's bad mouthing trump. Normalising it so it happens to others

Going over there closing the business they set up and the jobs they therefore created, and taking their taxes, and their culture, their food... And their pleasantness, leaving us with a higher ratio of assholes in the community
December 14, 2025 at 8:56 AM
Gotta love these assholes demanding we make the UK less attractive to people from overseas and not realising that if wealth and prosperity is (to them) the big reason they're coming then the only way to stop that is to become less wealthy and prosperous.
December 14, 2025 at 8:53 AM
I hadn't even noticed I'd dropped it.

Oops.

Depressingly I write for a living. Am a shit proof reader though.
December 12, 2025 at 10:10 PM
Agreed.

It's all a massive pile of racist and jingoistic bull shit done to separate. I have Welsh family who English is second language.

But abusing statistics on top of vilifying small children is just yet another reason to call these shits out as the biggoted cunts they are
December 12, 2025 at 6:04 PM
To put another way.

There is a little over 71.7k school children (see link) in Glasgow.

28.4% is just over 20k that speak English as a second language.

1 in 3 is nearly 24k

That's quite a big difference.

1 in 3 is being done as a shock tactic to make the number look bigger than it is.

Conflating 28.4% with a third is an inflation of 17.4% on the actual number.

Yes, we can round. But a 17% increase is taking the piss given 1 in 4 (12%) and 3 in 10 (6%) are both far closer to the actual number.
December 12, 2025 at 9:36 AM
Wait a second. Can we also fucking simplify percentages correctly.
1 in 3 = 33.3333...%
1 in 4 = 25%

Scottish Gov figures: 28.4% kids in Glasgow speak English as a second language.

You can say over 1 in 4 (3.4 points). You can say 3 in 10 (1.6). 1 in 3 (4.933333...) is taking a libert.
December 12, 2025 at 9:25 AM
Hey, the west country accent is proper gurt lush.... But the Cotswolds definitely do not have a West Country accent. Too plummy and Eton-like.
December 12, 2025 at 9:18 AM
Wait a second... They're trying to say something about a 0.09% change?

In 2023 roughly 9% of the work force left.

And now they have the benefit that no teacher will ever have to work with Gullis, and higher pay.
December 11, 2025 at 2:09 PM
I went into the comments to say just this.

It sort of touches on it (the bit with the brain needing to engage at a certain level) but missed that in places like NL steps are taken at the infrastructure level too: narrowing, trees, wiggles etc. In NL, you almost don't need speed signs.
