From their vetting to the measly allowance while away on work duties, your average Civil Servant are paid far lower than their counterparts in private industry, yet those at the top and those in government who were educated at Oxbridge get away with it all sorts… and I’m not talking liquorice.

Lowly paid Civil Servants are under all sorts of scrutiny all of the time, both internally and externally from the rabid Tory press.

There’s no way these glasses should be allowed from a moral standpoint, and that’s before you get into public safety and possibly national security. It must be a minefield from data protection perspective.
