The way I was raised (fundamentalist), if people fall in those categories, it's their own fault. Same with chronic illness. It's not illness/the way they were born, it's character flaws. (I have about 4 chronic illnesses and panic attacks. I completed the disappointment trifecta and got a tattoo.)
