I have a complaint! I sat down to write a grumbly post to balance out all my positive energy posts and … I’ve got nothing! Oh, I guess I could repeat my pet peeves about word misuse (like “reigning in” rather than “reining in”), but as for new complaints, I’m blank. Sure, there are things CHANGING in the publishing world, but complaining about change is like complaining about breathing. It’s part of being alive. Change means challenges. Opportunities. Sometimes it is daunting when you calculate the amount of work ahead of you (learning new things or repositioning your marketing efforts or whatever), but my eyes light up because it’s all shiny-new and I have magpie-curiosity. On the surface, it may look like I’m doing much the same thing. Trying to write and release new ebooks regularly. But underneath I’m thinking constantly. One of my obsessions is how AI will change book publishing. I hope it doesn’t mean the death of Kindle Unlimited due to the subscription service being flooded by AI-generated content (which is happening as you read this). Kindle Unlimited is the core of my indie publishing existence. Or is it? The real core to my publishing experience is me. I am the creative mind and caring person that an AI can’t replicate. Therefore, I’m on the look out for opportunities that support me, whether those are AI-based or people coming together to pool our energy and ideas to shape the future. Over the years I’ve watched authors fall away from publishing because of exhaustion. The journey can’t be just about chasing opportunities in a grim quest to survive (publishing is a tough industry). As authors we have to look after ourselves so that our stories can look after other people. This post certainly went in a different direction to where I started. Not sure if me rambling is interesting, but I guess my overfull brain wanted to spill some of its thoughts. LOL Now there is room for new ideas 😉

But these are excellent work surfaces for hobbies. They're easy to clean and can handle some mild solder work as long as your components aren't static-sensitive
