Total bullshit. The snowstorm was midweek, and the zoo at least is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. And it's really craven to connect the Bourbon St attack to their losses. And if they want to play that game, what about the Super Bowl that supposedly injected all this money into the local economy?

No, it's actually the opposite. Angry and disgusted voters are far more likely to turn out in a runoff than disinterested supporters of the incumbent in a relatively minor race. That's how Hutson snuck past Gusman a few years ago, and that wasn't even a minor race.
