Still working on the Wolfenstein 3D Clone to learn about 3D game making. Besides level design and probably modeling / animations, it's suprisingly similiar to 2D. This is how it's going so far:

Started following a tutorial to learn how to do 3D coding, just made a few connected rooms. I'm sure there's probably a more efficient way of doing this but this is how I'm progressing so far.

After a hard selection process, I've decided on making a Boomer Shooter / Doom Clone. It's going to be my first 3D game making experience so I'll be following a few tutorials first, making one or two small prototype games and mechanics to get the hang of things.

I've researched scraped steam store data to find a few market relevant genres I could make my game as. In the end, the relevant genres I found were Dating Sim, Colony/City Sim, Boomer/Zoomer Shooter and JRPG, all of these genres gaining more than 2.5k $ in median income.
