In the depths - for no reason
a greeting, smiling.
The corners of my mouth are raised to the left, just partly so
& with someone even
the first encounter feels
like the beginning of a farewell
like the beginning of a farewell.

a heat to remember
and glances burnt deep in retinas
forever, I fancy this daydream

we spilled
black colour and avoided it hence
but should have
put our rubber soles in it

to leave traces
and steps just everywhere
as this is what you do to me
anyway
