I adore Jasmine Crockett-she follows in the footsteps of some great TX Democratic women. I vote in TX (live abroad) and visit often. I take no pleasure in saying I don't think she can win statewide. Shame on TX, but that's the reality.

Not so sure that he didn't negotiate it. Saw a comment that he lined up those retiring and in safe seats to vote yes in order to give more vulnerable Senators cover. Seems to make sense when you see who caved.

If the Telegraph is just now noticing this, it does not say much for them as a new organisation. If the UK/EU are not preparing for this, it doesn't say much for them either. US weapons/fuel may be necessary for now, but that doesn't mean forever. And Europe must start fending for itself.

Ramping up arms production during WWII pulled the US out of a depression. Wouldn't there be a similar economic benefit in Europe? Perhaps infrastructure and some social spending would go by the wayside for a time, but could be offset somewhat by a manufacturing boom. Or am I oversimplifying?
