It’s a good self portrait. But I can already hear people crying “swipe”. You also look like you’re in distress. A self portrait is probably a good subject. Maybe model for Donna and get a bunch of portraits that are more in keeping with your character. I’m sure she can get the real you. 😁

Here’s another idea. Same image or another you already completed. Pose a photo of you working on it so both hands are present. Use said photo as reference and create a new artwork based on said photo. Maybe the art you’re working on isn’t as finished in this version.

I think if you had done a progression of the art from side to side (sketch, tight pencils, colour to finished art) all in the same cover it might have worked. Not separate artworks but all in the same illustration.

I’d zoom in closer and have the “Pollock” cropped a bit and have you roughly twice to 3 times as big. Otherwise I thinks it’s a great subject for the cover.

Keep posting whatever you want to post. If they don’t like it they don’t have to watch.
