I used to call the solutions to x^2 +2 b x +c = 0, which are -b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4 c), the Russian quadratic formula and the kids went wild.

In parallel, I suggest a "put-your-money-where-your-mouth-is" system. A politician stakes all of their net worth on their campaign promises, which are made so that they can be verified either way. They split their net worth over those promises. For each promise fulfilled, they get back that portion.
