this is the best time of the year to make sales 🎉
get on top early, here's how:

1. submit app discount to github.com/danmindru/r...
2. star the repo
3. that's it! get ready for sales 🤑

First ones go to the top 🙌

I'm really here for those that make $100 / mo with their own bootstraped startup.

You're my heroes ❤️

Seems like CodeRabbit works with the entire codebase context, not only with the PR changes?!

can someone confirm?
October 30, 2025 at 9:11 AM
went in expecting Claude Code to be the best code reviewer 💀

5️⃣ Claude Code

❌ FFS did anybody even try setting this up? DX is 👎
❌ produced a long single comment
❌ not much actionable: missed the innerHTML issue, found MIME-type risks but no fix; lots of slop
❌ the only one that's not contextual (per file)

*Barely* better than nothing.
SUPER disappointed
October 27, 2025 at 4:12 PM
4️⃣ Github Copilot

✅Blazingly fast, nice DX for GH users
✅Found missing null checks and the innerHTML problem
❌had one false positive on a backend type assertion; ❌didn’t catch MIME-type/XSS

I was pleasantly surprised, better than expected
October 27, 2025 at 4:12 PM
3️⃣ OpenAI Codex

❌ DX a bit rough for new users
🆗Slower (8m+) and only flagged the MIME-type issue
❌ Only 1 comment on the MIME-type, missed the rest
✅Drafted a comprehensive fix in its own env with “Update branch / New PR” flow.

Great potential + slick workflow but didn't find all issues
October 27, 2025 at 4:12 PM
2️⃣ CodeRabbit

🆗DX was alright, CLI was easy
✅Contextual, focused, and useful.
✅Caught a MIME-type bypass (BE+FE), unsafe innerHTML, and even a stray dependency; also flagged SVG/XSS risk + UI issues
✅ CLI useful in agentic flows
❌ CLI UI a bit glitchy

Elite as far as I'm concerned
October 27, 2025 at 4:12 PM
1️⃣ Cursor Bug Bot

🆗 DX was alright but a bit confusing
❌Only 1 comment, but it did spot the unsafe innerHTML/DOM manipulation.
❌Missed the MIME-type/XSS issues others found.

Average but still better than no review.

I tried all AI code review tools so you don't have to.

here's how they did (🧵):

it's gonna be a few rough years with AI in general btw.
It feels like early days of the web, there are SO MANY easy ways to exploit it it's not even fun anymore.

And many give them full permissions while coding 💀

these MCP attacks will be a lot more common too

responsive too. almost perfect!

Sonnet 4.5 cooked 🧑‍🍳
October 4, 2025 at 2:09 PM
3. In Cursor prompt using Sonnet 4.5 to build and follow JSON

(I had a PageAI codebase with TailwindCSS + rules set up tho, did not start from scratch)
October 4, 2025 at 2:09 PM
1. get UI screen from Mobbin

2. use GPT-5 on ChatGPT and ask it to analyze the screen and make a handover from UI -> Dev with details as JSON
October 4, 2025 at 2:09 PM
no way Sonnet 4.5 just 1-shot this🤯

did it cook or what?

my workflow:

September 23, 2025 at 6:31 AM
so is CSS a real programming language now?!
September 23, 2025 at 6:31 AM
This loader was fake.

But it allowed us to release & figure out how to build PageAI, offer good support and make a bunch of sales.

For some reason it was a lot easier for people to contact us with it. Before we had it, they just closed down the app 🤯
