Also, the Aliens game was an incredible quarter muncher. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anyone beat that.

I remember as a teenager watching two twenty-something guys with a frankly enormous pile of quarters on the machine attempt to beat T2 in the arcade. I don’t know if they managed it or not. I know that they lost to the T-1000 at least once from the swearing.

I like to imagine that he’s just such a huge asshole that even the Taliban got sick of his shit, but also decided it wasn’t even worth the diplomatic bother to shoot him.

I thought that Lord Miles guy was dead. Didn’t he disappear into Afghanistan or something, followed by some real strange posts about having tea with the Taliban? (Possible this is something he posted prior to being deceased, I suppose).

His weird breathy Elizabeth Holmes voice is somehow meant to convey “tough guy in a state of perpetual calm”, but I’m pretty sure it’s a cover for the fact that he can’t actually, you know… act.

Under Siege. A then only pot-bellied Steven Segal plays an ex-SEAL trying to recapture a battleship from a bunch of terrorists. Gary Busey and Tommy Lee Jones in prime scenery-chewing mode. It’s dumb fun.

This was… truly… a perfect way to rebound from a couple of days worth of absolutely rancid BlueSky vibes.

I'd be willing to bet folding money that this deal dies hours after someone produces a video involving Winnie the Pooh and Xi Jinping that breaks contain.

Stupidest place proposed so far, maybe. If you think those boobs haven’t suggested, like, Antarctica (“it’s cold there, right?”), or “the center of an active volcano”, or, like, “the moons of Saturn” in the group chats, you haven’t fully reckoned with just how goddamn delusional they really are.

Baby steps, but this is the way we bring back shame as a tool of polite society. Lots of professional associations and state bars need to become less afraid to expel assholes. If we can’t make them less racist/sexist/transphobic, we can at least make them fear professional consequences.

My carcinisation theory of vehicles is that they’re all convergently evolving into crossovers. It’s why a Model Y, Ford Mustang (ev), at least two different Nissan models, and the new Prius all look mostly the same, especially in silhouette.

I do. It was almost as big of an improvement as when Apple upgraded their predictive text so that it now suggests the correct word roughly a quarter of the time instead of close to 75% before. They just improved the shit out of it.

That’s part of it. The other part is that wood pellets have become popular for home heating, especially as an alternative to fuel oil.

They should probably discuss his haircut, as long as they’re airing things out anyway.
