I can't believe you said you hate waffles

There's a lot of ethical companies that could use a video editor for producing videos. What comes to me immediately is Ecosia if they have any openings. If not, something I did was find big investment firms' "environmental" or "activism" portfolios as a way to find names of growing ethical companies

I do think it's supposed to be a light joke - trademarks are associated with things that have a coherent identity and presence, but it seems the author is making a joke about how disproportionately intense the dance mom club is that they went through all the trouble of trademarking their name.
