One year ago today our province suffered from a deluge. Five months worth of rain poured in 24 hours. Now everytime it rains it triggers memories —the anxiety, the grief, and praying just to make it through the night.

Waking up to good news. Finally! But I am also feeling a lot of anxiety and ambivalence. They need to get this right.

Waking up to good news. Finally! But I am also feeling a lot of anxiety and ambivalence. They need to get this right.
When my mind wouldn't let me rest at night I have to recite to myself over and over again: "I've done everything I could and it's enough." Slow deep breaths, slow steady breaths.

Dizzy with how saturated X is with bots. It's unrecognizable anymore. I met so many like-minded friends there from Kpop to Taylor Swift to philosophy and advocacy work. Sigh. I'll be using this space more from now on.

I see people deactivating various social media accounts, which I understand & respect, but I’m done letting Bad Tech Bros™️ chase me out of my community spaces.
Maybe there are no more “good places.” Maybe there are only good people doing their best to navigate—& use for good—problematic spaces.
