Another "fun" thing I've encountered is having someone who *could* have diagnosed me just... Not, because they didn't believe in it, to my knowledge. I got an official dx in HS after being treated as such by my school since we first thought I was diagnosed.

I feel kinda mixed about self diagnosis. On the one hand, it does *potentially* allow for people who are not ND to take away treatment, or "dilute" experiences. But on the other? Getting an actual diagnosis is difficult, even if really ND. And self-ID takes away stigma from seeking out info.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think yours is also a later one than the one I had. If you try to repair it, be *very* careful - the frame counter is terrible to reinstall, and there's some super tiny grub screws for adjusting the rangefinder. But the mechanism is pretty simple.
