If you've followed my journey w/the jdrama #LearningtoLove, you know I was a bit obsessed, but I wasn't the only one. This unconventional romance demanded commentary & the wait for the 1-a-week 45-min ep nearly did people in. The show is best binged, and all eps are out now.

I know 😭😭😭 I just wish we'd gotten the 12th episode, everything that needed to happen happened but it would've been so great to, for example, see Taiga pull himself out of his spiral and what got him there. Also maybe getting more professional help for his dyslexia

Did you see what I posted about the lead actress and her reaction to the scene? I was so wrong 🫣

Oh this is interesting, I've never really felt the need to warn anyone about Kdramas. Jdramas otoh 😭😭

Suda Masaki is crazy charismatic, I couldn't take my eyes off him in this scene

Ooh another tip I found: do a search for 대본 hwp and you will find scripts but they are all in Korean

Squid Game 2 has a sympathetic portrayal of a trans woman and so does a Kdrama called Uncle. But in general Korea is way behind on LGBTQ+ issues

Yes when he tells Taiga that he needs to get a degree and a job to support Manami

It absolutely is too in love with itself and it gets more apparent the longer it goes on. I really loved it for about 10 episodes or so and then it just went on this gradual decline that eventually turned into a death spiral for my viewing enjoyment 😐

What people think is attractive is so individual. When I saw him in still photos I didn't think he was handsome. Not ugly but unremarkable. But once I saw him moving and speaking I was like whoa this dude is sexy a.f. 😅 I was especially blown away by his livestreams because he's smart and witty too.

Also I didn't write this, I swear 😅

That sounds funny! I like funny so she may work for me.

Catching up with Learning to Love content after dodging spoilers for weeks & I'm fascinated by FL Fumino Kimura's IG story about the scene with Mananmi, her father and Taiga in ep 10. She scolded people who thought daddy was right. I was one of them and now I'm like 🫣 should've known better #jdrama

No, I'll check it out! I'm seeing a lot of people talking about it. I'm enjoying Journey to Love a lot because the female characters are all strong and complex and the ML is very thoughtful about what it means to be a true and just leader. Plus kickass fight scenes.

I don't understand why Liu Yuning caught so much crap for his looks in this drama, he looks perfectly fine. He's not a pretty boy but he's not ugly either and his height and bearing make up for anything he's lacking
Screencap of actor Liu Yuning in the Chinese drama A Journey to Love

Also Li Shishi is so pretty and elegant. Not the strongest actress but she's really fun to watch in the action scenes.

I'm watching Journey to Love and my husband keeps getting pulled into it when he walks through the living room which deeply pleases me for some reason 😭 #cdrama
Promotional still for the Chinese drama a Journey to Love showing the leads standing back to back with swords drawn

Kim Ji Hoon is a freak of nature, bless him

"The other 90% of MDL users will just keep squeeing about their oshis anyway" << the accuracy 🤌

Gah, now I want to write a review for MDL but I have so much to say I'm not sure how to get started and keep the review from becoming a tome.

If you're watching this drama, make sure you check out the analyses on MDL. They are amazing and added so much to my viewing experience.

Finally we get LOVE ♾️ which reflects exactly how I feel about this drama. Yes it bobbled at times but it touched me in a way that I’ve rarely experienced. Manami & Taiga became real people for me and they gave me a lot of joy. Thank you to everyone who joined me & also fell in love with them 😘🫰
