Is this as bad as I think it is? For more context this is from Final Fantasy II. You have to go to this island in the middle of the ocean to retrieve the “Black Mask.” You can actually skip/miss this entire area with the natives as it’s not on the route to the mask.

It may have been a Gatcha game, but Tales of Crestoria could easily have been a standalone title. Out of the gate the story didn’t pull any punches and the game could work by itself without characters from the other titles. #TalesOf @bandainamcousa.bsky.social

Being sick sucks, but thankfully this was minor (hopefully I’m on the up swing).
I haven’t felt like doing crap this week and I’ve barely been able to function even at work.
So I think I’ll just chill a bit while watching the first Silent Hill movie.

After a Final Fantasy break, I read through 3 more books. Imperial War is the current overarching storyline with this being the first relevant issue I’ve picked up. It was good but it’s also just a piece of the story so it’s also a bit “meh” since you only know a summary of what’s happened.

Finished Axiom Verge 2 the other day and I really enjoyed it. Overall I think it’s a more solid game compared to AV1. I only hit one point near the end where I got a bit lost and wasn’t sure how to make progression, and I thought AV2 did a better job at using your different abilities.

Wrapped up Axiom Verge last night and even found one of the super weapons (which was not so super 😂). Of course when you have the Flame Thrower every other weapon is moot. Really enjoyed playing through it again.

Not a 1CC but I beat Vs. Castlevania tonight. Couple of corrections and notes:
Damage does not increase above 6/hit until loop 2.
The time in stages 1-3 is much shorter than the NES version.
Red Skeletons raise a bit faster.
Stages 4-6 are not much more difficult than their NES counterparts.

But I got a 1CC 1st attempt on the NES version after for payback. It’s been a few years since I last played so at least all my skill hasn’t vanished 😂

Damn game bullied me last night 😂. It’s fairly the same and the NES version but enemies do twice as much damage, so by stage 3 you can only take 2 hits before you have to find some wall meat.
