Not all of us have the time and energy to just pick a random place and then later pretend that you “discovered” it. Certain places are famous for a reason and it’s ok to experience them once. If you like it, you like it, and that’s ok.

Maybe it's bc Americans are used to dousing their sushi in soy sauce? I don't know. I've found that Kura Sushi (yes, the conveyor belt sushi chain) has the closest "taste" to what I've had in Japan, and that it's because of the sushi vinegar.
