Interestingly though, if you’re trying to “reduce friction” to AI adoption by make the interaction more “human” and natural to use, the use of an Avatar is actually the sort of the right(?) move. They’re not the first, but it’ll be interesting if they actually pivot that into a more serious space.

xAi is so unserious, but in a way this is on brand for them. They’re definitely not at the level of adoption of ChatGPT or Claude so leaning into the place neither is even interested in kind of makes sense short term, but it’ll be interesting to see if they aren’t suck as the gooner AI forever
