ELIZABETH SETON (1774-1821) founded first Catholic girls' school in the US - St. Joseph’s School (1810). She is known for the founding the nations parochial school system. Mother Seton became the 1st American canonize as a saint in 1975. #History #Herstory 2/2

📅🍂Oct 1st 1887: Ida Gray passed the entrance exam for the Univ. of Michigan School of Dentistry & graduated in June 1890, becoming the 1st African-American woman dentist in the U.S. She worked in a dress shop, with a Dentist practice upstairs. That drew her to the profession.
