It is a DELIGHT. If you're into books that seem lighter at first and then swerve into heavier stuff without losing their humor, this is definitely worth a look!

We switched to Primo this summer. I'm constantly annoyed/baffled by how much harder it is to find ANYTHING. And we do use the terminology "everything" but then also "beyond my library". Which is not clear at all! Why is "beyond my library" not included in "everything"?!

I worked at general reference at the HBLL and students were always so fearful about asking after those books. Radiating shame.

Two moments of culture shock shortly after moving to Ohio for me: Witnessing a couple fresh from a run each order and chug 16 oz of milk at the public market. And working white collar job as only man in department and all my women coworkers having regular, heated convos about college football.

Just like rolling this around here, but I think one real knot is that there's these handwavings about being an international church but a lot of it is really mapping US context on other parts of the world.

I don't have more than a gut sense of this, but one thing I do think is somewhat complicated here is the Church is still very much in the USA mold. So polygamy is not allowed in countries where it is legal. So are we talking if it were legal in the US? But then what about where it's still illegal?
