I love how this pokes fun at Bryke and how they infamously described Zutara as “dark and intriguing” while dismissing it, which most shippers categorically disagreed with, going off the characters’ canon friendship dynamic alone 🎄❤️‍🔥💙

Fanart in comic style of Zuko waking up from a nightmare. He had many recurring nightmares in The Promise comic series and this depicts a reimagined version of that. He's sweating, panting, and scared and reaching up to hold his face when a hand reaches out and he shouts, "No!" before the hand retreats and the person says, "It's me, relax." The person whose hand reached out is revealed to be Katara in bed beside Zuko. They are presumably a couple here. Zuko looks saddened as he says to Katara, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to slap your hand away." Katara replies, "I understand. It's okay," before asking, "Do you want to talk about it?" To which, Zuko answers, "no." Katara then says, "Okay, do you want to lay back down, then? Try to get some rest?" Zuko ponders a moment before answering, "Mmm, yes." Katara then wraps Zuko in her arms and the two lie together cuddling in bed. Zuko looks at peace and Katara is holding his head as Zuko wraps his arms around her body, keeping her close.

Zuko and Katara's imagined children are depicted here in stunning fan art. There is a girl with long brown hair like Katara in a pink dress that draws inspiration from both the Fire Nation and Southern Water Tribe, reminiscent of Katara's red dress in the FN. There's another girl with a long braid and headband. She's wearing an outfit reminiscent of Azula's in The Beach episode, but it's blue. The third girl is shaggy black, short hair and is in a Water Tribe outfit that is sleaveless and blue. She has arm bands that look fur coated. dad!zuko means so much to me bc his father was so cruel and heartless so everything he's learned about being a father was from iroh. when zutara's first child is born, zuko cries buckets. he hardly puts them down. even when the baby sleeps, he holds onto them and keeps them warm. he vows to love his kids unconditionally. zuko is such a great father, so loving and supportive bc he never got that from ozai. he never wants his children to think, even for a second, that he doesn't love them. katara has a whole scrapbook of zuko with their kids just being cute as hell. zuko looks through it quite frequently
