Had a blast last night meeting British Chinese Society members for their London book club meet-up. Was great to talk about my book but more so to hear about others’ experiences. Even managed to reconnect with the China Exchange guide who took me around Chinatown (and I mention them in the book)!

Attended this inspiring talk by @rutasepetys.bsky.social at the @bodleianlibraries.bsky.social tonight. Ruta’s engaging storytelling was evident in her insightful talk & her riveting family stories. Enjoyed hearing about her research & writing process. I feel energised to write historical fiction!
