Dad spends so much time wrapped up in his emotions. They own him, they change suddenly and drastically, and rarely have any regard for who or what they fall upon.

He doesn't seem to know the extent of the charges, but either Police or Court contacted him. The arrest might be a surprise... So tense.

Dad has an existing hearing for his initial criminal charges from the start of this, coming in just over a week. This has already been rescheduled once due to his lack of counsel. Since then, he has only retained an attorney for the divorce proceedings and they have done basically nothing together.

After he got the information, he personally called the District Attorney to share additional context for that pending case he submitted. The D.A. determined it was appropriate to press charges, and Mom got the call today. They're submitted, and Dad now has a warrant. He's staked over 100 miles away.
