They do this thing a lot where they cancel any government program that benefits foreigners in anyway, then restart it when it becomes clear these programs are designed to split the benefits with the American public. Would have thought they'd realize they're all like that by now.

My point was that speculation from journalist and other media figures that could encourage lawless behavior is bad even if plausible, not that speculation that could encourage lawful behavior is good even if implausible.

I think Journalism, like every other industry, should support the rule of law over authoritarianism and speculation that criminal action on Donald Trump's will never face justice even after political dynamica change quite a bit different than reporting troop movements that are actually happening now

It does not matter if what David is saying is likely true, he should not be telling people breaking the law on Donald Trumps behalf is likely to carry no legal consequences because saying so in his position as a congressional journalist means some folks will believe it and be more likely to.
