- Blac bloc is a generic strategy to avoid police surveillance technology by dressing in generic black.

But Why?
- To protect others; if you look the same as vulnerable people (e.g. marginalized folx, frontliners) it's harder to identify them.
- It encourages widespread participation; anyone can wear black.
- It promotes unity and solidarity.

Blocing Up
- Wear all black.
- Try to wear long sleeves and pants.
- Cover face and hair.
- Cover tattoos/piercings.
- Wear black, closed-toe shoes.
- Carry a black backpack.

Debloc
- Change of clothes and mask (colorful, aim for irony).
- Stow all gear.
- Bloc and debloc in safe place without cameras.
- Wearing bloc outside of actions makes you a target.

Anyone can wear bloc. Don't assume someone's race, risk level, or anything else about a person in bloc.

When "organizers" and their "peacekeepers" think/behave like this, think of it like a "No Lifeguard On Duty, Swim At Your Own Risk" sort of deal.

Ideally, even learn to view the world that way... Because a lot of you are out here without floaties and there be sharks in these waters.
