I have let the military member of my family know that he should freeze his credit immediately with all three credit bureaus, much more powerful than just credit monitoring. Don't go to the government website for advice about how to do this, for all the obvious reasons. Go to sites like Nerdwallet.

Today, freeze your credit, more powerful than credit monitoring.There is a government website about freezing credit, but nuts to that. Try independent sites, like NerdWallet, for instructions. Have a federal student loan? Screenshot the history of payments & make a hard copy or two.

In 2020, I campaigned like crazy for Joni Ernst's Democrat opponent: the wonderful Theresa Greenfield. There were many of us who could see what a bright, capable, decent human being Greenfield is, but the voters of Iowa installed Ernst instead because: MAGA.
