While there were close calls in 2022, California hasn't had any blackouts since 2020 (which lasted two or three hours). You want big catastrophic blackouts? Try Texas.

Interesting story, with some details I haven’t seen reported elsewhere. But I think @evandrellich.bsky.social understates the level of enthusiasm here. People realize it’s only a 3-year rental but they’re buying tix in droves. They may not care about the A’s but they’re excited for MLB in Sac.
