After a couple of non-official roles, I was confirmed to the CFSS board, the then owners of @chesterfieldfc.bsky.social on 5 Oct 2005. My post as vice-chair contined as I became a trustee, & one-time chair, of @spireitestrust.bsky.social. My official role at the Trust & Club, since 2020 continues.

I am anti-fascist. Both my grandfathers served fighting the Nazis, one in the Army, one domestically in the fire service; I am proud of both. President Trump would designate me & my grandparents as terrorists for opposing fascists. This says more about the current US administration than me!

I understand that in the meeting in Alaska, Russia will agree to give up claims to parts of Ukraine that they haven't invaded in exchange for remaining in the state they formally occupied. Real chance for Trump to get his Nobel Peace Prize!

In my opinion, any post that suggests that any information is heing held back when there is an ongoing investigation suggests a cover up and supports public disquiet. Not the best response.

My fiftieth season of playing league cricket. All but one, when I played only midweek works games, has involved Old Whittington/Whittington Wanderers.

CFCFPA: Coaches working at @chesterfieldfc.bsky.social & @spireitestrust.bsky.social been recognised in the 2024/25 Grassroots Football Award at the Derbyshire FA #DCFAAwards. This association recognises elite footballers but knows that the beautiful game is nothing if it doesn't involve everyone.

CFC Former Players: George Woolley #44, a goalkeeper in 1901, was born 150 years ago today. A Corporal in the Royal Engineers, he was killed trying to rescue his men in a gas attack near Ypres in 1917, his body was never found. He is commemorated on the @chesterfieldfc.bsky.social War Memorial.
