Thoughts on ‘don’t quit your day job’? If you’re going to start with the big project, whether as a musician or game dev, should it be a side project while you still have stable income in case it doesn’t work out?

I just pointed out that your situation is unlucky. Society is better off if people are given vaccines known to be safe and effective, you were unlucky to not benefit.

From the CDC, “Some people who are vaccinated against chickenpox get shingles (herpes zoster) years later. This is much less common after vaccination than after chickenpox disease”. Sounds like you got unlucky, sorry.

Agreed! And I’m gen Z. At my work, most things are better/faster with a voice call.
But I also agree it should be “do you have a minute to call about ___?” I’m gonna personally try to remember that going forward.
If it’s urgent though, a cold call is perfectly fine.
