IF it's something you'd do, could work it double with a smooth yarn of the same fiber, maybe make scarves or doll clothes that way.
Personally, I don't care for eyelash type stuff, and it's go directly to the thrift

There is that. Most of my garment knitting is for infants and toddlers. Otherwise it's mostly accessories, which I'll also often give away.

I can't knit as fast as I can buy yarn, either.

I get antsy over 20 (well, over 12 tbh) I did have as many as 26 mid pandemic.
I'm current at 15, and #craftivism is about to bump those numbers up this weekend
