And then other times you watch some bread and eat some circuses, which is not so good

Or they have no concept of playing for fun and they just totally kick your ass, so you’re always losing and they’re always smug about it and telling you why you’re playing wrong, which is like instantly infuriating

I love the idea of board games so much bc they have such great artwork or interesting settings and then I try to play one with board game people and it’s always “oh wait these games require a huge time investment to learn and the people who are into them have the least patience of anyone alive”

And them getting very animated and then mad when you don’t remember all the rules. But the rule book is like a chilton manual.
