There have been a few games where Eze allowed the opposition to find space in midfield by not tracking players, so Villa might just have been the final straw for now. Hopefully, he'll get some chances again soon.

FIFA is just fundamentally corrupt, a cartel, and structurally unsavable. The only recourse is a breakaway of federations that have more footballing power (i.e UEFA), which might then have their own issues.

Kelly also won the Women's Champions League

Although it's a shame they killed the access to the member bar at Central. It was a big benefit!

Do you think you would have had Mamdani on if they asked? Given that not only is he an Arsenal fan, but a Arseblog one at that.

I think it's just less noticed and commented on. I am a British kid of a French parent, but you wouldn't know, and it wouldn't come up in day-to-day conversation.

Also, more British games that carry a British sense of humour and/or vibe. The Chinese Room is the only other dev that comes to mind who do those kinds of games.

There is homework, but there is also just having an understanding of the country you want to govern. Knowing NI voted to stay shouldn't be something an aspiring PM needs to research.

What's the legal status of this if there is no registered party and they're taking funds? Especially if they just sent it out like this without full organisation support

We'll they be able to see that account I guess and investigate

I think he didn't think though the ramifications, was just doing jokes/banter with the audience as it cycled though and saying what came to mind.

Yeah, unless my comprehension is wrong. They have stopped short of a diagnosis?.

I turned off The Guardian one when they sent a notification that Rayner, then in opposition, had criticised the Tories' record on the economy. That's not Breaking News.

Was 'The Rest Is..' ever at the BBC? I thought it was a private company from the very start.
June 4, 2025 at 8:51 AM
In a way, this is how the BBC should work. Find and promote British talent before they move on to the big bucks elsewhere once they've made a name for themselves.

But even aside from the bowing to political pressure, the BBC is struggling in the new media landscape.
June 4, 2025 at 8:37 AM
A lot of them were going to leave anyway, as the lower barrier for entry means the 'talent' would rather own the show itself and get paid. The Rest Is... podcasts, the Kermode & Mayo pod, e.t.c. The money in podcasts isn't at the BBC.

Wrong graphic btw

They do mention this a lot but usually on 'The 30' podcast where they cover the other games. That's when they usually talk about violent conduct/bad tackles not being published.

His criticism of No 10 is spot on, but I think people did overreact to the time it took - a matter of hours - for a statement. It was a sign of No 10 inertia rather than moral failing, but I think everyone was on edge last night.

I thought the invite for the golf course was to discuss the plans for the State Visit that would come later.
