While I am well aware this is nowhere near like..."good" adjustment, i do have to admit it at least looks better, less mish-mashed and more evenly spaced...even if i somehow made all the capitals hit low :/

Well a lot of work and small adjustment later, this bastard is in absolutely perfect working order!

I definitely need to clean the rollers though, leaving some stains on the paper.

Have to say, someone USED this machine hard, there's quite the divot in the space bar from a thumb...

TURNS OUT THE MAINSPRING HAS AN UN-WINDER AND IT JUST NEEDED WOUND BACK UP, AND THE MARGINS RESET!!!

If anyone is curious, the jam nuts for the hammer adjustment screws on a Royal Academy typewriter are 5.5mm......for some ungodly reason???

Fyck it let's throw something on the feed

Took some time last night and fixed my typewriter. The platen ratchet spring was gone and both the screws for the carriage advance arm were also missing, so the whole mechanism was jank
spent a few hours figuring it out (SAVE OLD SCREWS) and tada!

I'm deciding if moving all my old posts over would be worth it or if I should just....dump all of it and restart?

Ok before I absolutely out myself can someone confirm for me if likes are visible or not???? like to the public???
