Watched 'Heretic'. Hugh Grant clearly had a LOT of fun with the role. As usual with a lot of horror films (for me), first 1/2 to 2/3 was really quite good, final act descended into gory averageness. See also 'Barbarian'.

It speaks of how spoiled that video location is for Beautiful Things that there's the most stunningly beautiful Ginko tree, leaves fluttering in the breeze against a bright blue sky, surrounded by a sea of glowing golden fall, and the subtitle is "Yeah it's a week past its best, really".

There is no equilibrium. We think that at some point things will stabilize and life will no longer constantly be these surges of ups and downs. It is sadly not so. Or maybe it's good that it's not so, because it also means wonderful things can still happen when you least expect them.
