We know who are the actual authors of so-called “US peace plans”

He's doing his job as NATO secretary - trying to keep the alliance together. The heart of the problem is NATO's credibility now

Which is why this reporting sounds a lot like fake outrage baiting by the Telegraph, as they often do
January 27, 2026 at 12:09 PM
Storm Shadows (SCALP/EG) are a joint French/UK production... Sounds like fake outrage reporting from the Telegraph
January 27, 2026 at 12:07 PM
This is a story from the Telegraph, not the highest standard for journalism.
If the UK have them to spare, I'm sure they would just give them to Ukraine. Moreover Storm Shadows are a joint French/UK production, so no reason for France not to invest in their production either...
I doubt it's accurate

Bold stance to adopt in 2026 America

Even if abolished, ICE derived groups will remain in existence, bound together by their time in the force, and constitute unofficial militias which other right-wing leaders will be able to weaponize for political violence. They’ll remain as the US brown shirts for years and years to come
January 24, 2026 at 11:22 PM
It is encouraged by the owners. X is a propaganda machine working for the Trump regime. And many aren't people, they're bots. You can bet that both US oligarchs and foreign ennemies of the US (Russia, China and so on) are working overtime to further inflame the situation. They all want a civil war
January 24, 2026 at 8:56 PM
Yeah I think we've all pretty much figured out it's bogus and that the only threat to Greenland is the Trump regime
January 24, 2026 at 8:48 PM
If this is true and they have the means to remotely disable Russian and Chinese equipment, then a US victory against the Chinese sounds a lot more probable. I don't care what happens to the US, but for the sake of Taiwan, Japan and South Korea, I hope this is the outcome
January 24, 2026 at 4:50 PM
As well as the EU, which played a huge part in pacifying intra-european relations
January 23, 2026 at 3:32 PM
At this point, I'd welcome the end of NATO. It has made us Europeans complacent. We already have the means to fend off our main rival, Russia, which turned out to be a paper tiger. My only worry is that the US would ally with Russia to attack us. But it's not like NATO would deter the US anyway.
January 23, 2026 at 2:42 PM
They are welcome to leave and let Europeans defend the territory if they find it so burdensome. No one is begging them. At present, Russia poses no threat to Greenland, neither does China. The only immediate threat is the US

So no seizing ?

Thank you Smithers
January 22, 2026 at 5:17 PM
Europe sent troops to Greenland in response to US military threats, and Trump walked his military threats back. The lesson here is that we need to stand up to Trump, not appease him with this “misunderstanding” BS. He was very clear with his threats, we also need to be with our response
January 22, 2026 at 9:00 AM
Needless to say, had Trump been president of the US during WWII, we would indeed all be speaking German or Japanese
January 21, 2026 at 2:33 PM
You’re very optimistic about Republicans showing some spine. When push comes to shove, Trump will pressure them so hard they’ll fold like a cheap lawn chair, as they have on pretty much every other issue so far.
January 21, 2026 at 2:28 PM
I’d wait until Trump replaces Powell with one of his incompetent stooges at the head of the Fed for maximum effect
January 21, 2026 at 11:46 AM
I just hate listening to Rutte. I know that this is his job now to save NATO, but the constant Trump praising is just so humiliating to us Europeans. Yes, we all are spending more, in no small part because we might have to defend ourselves against the US now. Thank you Trump, I guess

19 billions to Somali in Minnesota ? They must be the richest people in the state now !

I thought the Russians had understood, after the whole HIMARS debacle of late 2022, not to stack their ammo in one place… Some commander might be in deep trouble today 😂

Il est plutôt bon sur les questions de politique étrangère (et encore, il lui a fallu du temps sur l’Ukraine), mais on ne peut pas dire que sa politique économique ultra libérale fut un succès, après quasiment une décennie à l’Elysée.
January 21, 2026 at 9:47 AM
Well, it’s not like they would have shown restraint otherwise
