Ok, I’m loving the starter packs! This one is for women (inclusively defined) in Ocean Science.

You need more ocean 🌊 in your feed! Follow these folks.

If you would like to be added please just let me know 👋 … if I forgot you, please don’t be offended, it was an accident! go.bsky.app/7MdiLgo

Hi! I think that's a great idea, as a new BlueSky user I was not aware of these communities. I would also love to be included :)

Just watched a talk by @lisampmunoz.bsky.social on her book Women in Science Now 📚. I couldn’t attend in June, but luckily it’s available via Lecture2Go from @uni-hamburg.de 💻. Inspiring insights on how science can drive change and inclusion. Watch here: lecture2go.uni-hamburg.de/en/l2go/-/ge... 💡

This was an opportunity to remind that it was Eunice Foote, who was the first to measure the solar heating of CO2, already in the 1850s :

„An atmosphere of that gas would give to our Earth a high temperature“ - she wrote in her paper published in American Journal of Science and Arts, 1856.

Apart from exciting research, we also had an amazing karaoke night 🎤 and were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the aurora! 🌌 As I returned to Hamburg, I felt exhausted but also motivated and inspired to continue my research!

Last week, I presented my PhD research at the 3-day annual IMPRS-ESM Retreat! ✨️ I was happy to speak to an audience of fellow PhD students and their advisors. I received fantastic feedback, with many saying they are looking forward to seeing more of my results! 🎉
