It took me a long time to come to terms with them, and I benefitted from corporate training workshops.

What I've learned:

Fewest words wins. Keep text large and super brief.

Don't read the slide. The slide should illustrate what you say, not be your script.

Today, a sitting President is trying to send military forces into US cities to quell...peaceful protests.

The National Rifle Association, which repeatedly shouts that it needs its pew-pews to fight a potentially tyrannical government, is silent.

I finally dove into building partscasters during Covid. My first experiment was a triple mini built with very affordable vintage voiced Wilkinson minis. Still surprised at how well it came out!

It is absolutely my favorite pickup. Sonically in the sweet spot between singles and humbuckers! When I finally took the risk on them, I realized this was the sound my head had been chasing.

I am more confident in our ability to pull off this year’s gig. Last year involved a lot of fear of the unknown, which was confirmed when a lot of things went wrong. This year, I’m not “ready” yet — still polishing my performance parts— but confident we’ll put on a fun show. #gratefulwed

They are presented in their original forms, but with a CRT filter you can turn on or off to taste.

Violence toggle allows Fatalities to be performed or not. Blood is red gushy stuff. :)

Both of these were original options for arcade owners; they could tailor the game's content to their location's needs.
Disneyland, for instance, might not want the game in all its gory glory.

I took up the task to adapt the GPU renderer of MK4 from OpenGL that our emulator engineer did to our bakesale rendering abstraction. Adding 2x, 4x was a easy call to make, just need to render the scene in a bigger intermediate render target.

We've enhanced MK4's graphics with 2x and 4x rendering modes, which give the 1997 arcade original a smooth, modern look. It's entirely optional -- run at the original resolution with the CRT filter for authenticity!

This is HUGE. 1x with the CRT filter looks uncannily like the arcade machine we had at GamePro. 2x without the CRT filter looks slightly better. 4x looks better than MK Gold...!

Really looking forward to people reassessing MK4's legacy -- I've always had a lot of fun with it.
