Hi Brett! I haven’t heard of FadeIn—sounds like a great tool. I’m a big fan of open-source options like OpenOffice, too. Many of my audiobook narrator colleagues use Twisted Wave and Audacity for free, open-source audio editing. 🎧 It’s amazing what those DAWs can do.

🙌 That’s fantastic—congrats on working with a traditional publisher! I’m sure it takes a lot off your plate. I’ll check out your work. I don’t own Vellum either, but I hear it’s top-notch for polished layouts and seamless .ePub conversions.

That’s a great system, Jason—Scrivener for the heavy lifting and Word for the polish. I’ve heard many indie authors swear by Vellum for the final book layout.

Agreed, Denise—I love Scrivener myself. Final Draft is more for screenwriters and playwrights—Scrivener’s drama-loving cousin. 😉
