We are just starting Canvas this year with elementary grades. These tips are so helpful! I’d love to see examples if anyone is willing to share! #TLskychat

This is fantastic! My school is just starting to teach students about AI, but it’s more focused on evaluating the output. With permission, I’d like to refer to this during our #digcit lessons!

Absolutely! I took a break from chats & ARC sharing to become a mom, pursue my library degree, and finally have the career I’ve wanted for over a decade. It’s refreshing to know you’re all here & are ready to welcome #kidlitchat participants. I’m ready to be back!

Specific genres per chat, what we are (& aren’t) seeing in kidlit publishing, books/series to help kids try something new are a few on my list! #kidlitchat

So many great titles here! Thanks for sharing the sci-fi recommendations. If anyone has new or upcoming K-5 sci-fi releases, I’d love to hear about them! #kidlitchat

Thanks for sharing! There are a number of readers in my school who LOVE all things spooky, scary, creepy, and spine-tingling. #kidlitchat

Agreed! I’m looking for reviewed sci-fi books published in 24-25 for grades K-5. Any other recommendations? #kidlitchat

Another teacher and I were gushing over Scritch Scratch in our book fair case today. I love hearing students’ excitement build when they (re)discover your books!

This is so helpful, thank you! You gave me a lot of ideas. We don’t have a dedicated area for makerspace, but I may be able to have maker Mondays since my schedule is more flexible that day. Feeling inspired!

What a great set up!
1) Are there specific parts of the school day they can visit & make? It seems like we have such a tight schedule of instructional minutes, and it’s hard to find a time that isn’t their recess.
2) Do you have a dedicated room/area for a makerspace?

This is awesome, Lori! I’d love to get Maker Mondays started in our elementary library, but am struggling to plan how it works in a k-5 student’s school day. What tips do you have to get it started? #skybrarian
